Healing With Horses
They have walked beside us for six thousand years
Equine-assisted healing, leadership and spiritual connection on the Cornish hillside. No riding. No technique to learn. Only the oldest conversation we know.
Your way with the herd
Healing, leadership and connection
Choose a photograph to go straight to that part of the page. The full range is here, from private healing and corporate leadership to beach sessions and walking with horses into the woods.
Trust.
Grounding.
Presence.
Three disciplines, one field
Healing, leadership, and something older
Every session draws on the same source, a prey animal with an exquisitely tuned nervous system, telling you the truth about your own.

Healing
The horse as mirror
A horse cannot be persuaded by the story you tell about yourself. It responds to your breath, your heart rhythm, the tension in your shoulders. When you soften, the horse softens, and you feel the change in your own body before you can name it. That feedback loop is the healing.

Leadership
Authority without force
A herd follows the calmest animal, not the loudest. Ask a half-tonne animal to move with you and every ounce of pretence falls away, clarity, intention and congruence are all that work. Leaders leave here having felt, physically, the difference between control and presence.

Spiritual connection
An older conversation
We have walked beside horses for six thousand years, through migration, harvest, pilgrimage, and through the mud of two world wars where they carried and were lost in their millions. That covenant sits in the body of both species. Standing quietly with a horse re-opens a channel most people forgot they had.
Retreats
Half a day. A day. Or two.
Each one is bespoke, shaped in conversation before you arrive, and never more than ten people.
Who comes
Corporate, individuals, couples and small groups
The work is the same; the question is different. We shape the day around who is standing at the gate.

Corporate
Teams and leadership groups
Board days, senior teams and founders who carry decisions for other people. The herd gives feedback no consultant can: it responds to what you are actually doing, not what you meant. Half day, full day or two days, with a pre-day conversation to set the question and written reflection notes afterwards.

Individuals
One to one, at your pace
For anyone in a season of change, grief, burnout or a decision that will not settle. No group, no watching, no need to explain yourself. Just you, a guide and a horse who will tell you the truth about your nervous system.

Couples and families
Learning to move together
Two people asking the same horse to move reveals, in about ninety seconds, how they make decisions together. Gentle, often funny, and quietly clarifying. Children welcome from eight upwards with a parent.

Small groups
Friends, circles and practitioners
Bring your own group of up to ten. Popular with women's circles, men's circles, therapists, teachers and carers who spend their working lives holding other people and rarely get held themselves.

Beach, woodland and hillside
The herd does not stay in one field. Where we take them changes what the day can do.

On the beach
We take the horses down to our own stretch of Cornish sand. Bare feet, salt air, tide sound and a half-tonne animal walking beside you. It is the session people talk about for years, and the easiest place for a nervous body to let go.

Walk with horses to the woods
Lead a horse on foot up the lane and into the oaks. Once you are under the canopy we stop, stand and let the wood do the rest, breath work, silence, and sometimes drum. Walking beside a horse for an hour changes a conversation completely.
Ask about this
On the hill and in the field
Ground work at liberty in the top field, with the whole valley below. This is where leadership days and liberty exercises happen: influence with no rope, no equipment and nowhere to hide.

How the one-day unfolds
Tea in the tea house. Boots on. Nothing asked of you yet.
Breath, bare feet on grass, an honest check-in before the gate opens.
Observation first, then contact. Only what you and the horse both consent to.
Slow food from the walled garden, eaten outside where possible.
Shamanic journeying with drum among the oaks, or a silent walk if you prefer.
Fire circle, what you're choosing to carry out of the gate, and what stays.
Woven together
Horses are the doorway, not the whole house
Time with the herd sits alongside the other practices held here, so the day opens the body and then gives it somewhere to go.
Choose your own
Shape your day with the herd
Tap what you'd like woven in. We'll come back with a shape, a date and a price.
Nothing chosen yet, that's fine too.

How we hold it
Safety, consent and honesty, for both species
- No riding, ever, everything is ground-based
- Maximum ten people; often fewer
- The horses may decline, and that is part of the work
- You can step out of any exercise without explanation
- Complete beginners and the horse-nervous are welcome
- Trauma-aware, neurodivergent-friendly pacing
