Day Meditation Retreat
A day of stillness sounds simple until you try it. That is exactly why it is worth doing, and why it is held, guided and gently structured from the first bell to the last.
The day itself
The day is built in short, achievable blocks. Nothing lasts longer than forty minutes. Between each sit there is walking, tea, or nothing at all.
We move location as the light moves: sunrise in the eastern meadow, mid-morning under the oaks, afternoon in the sound room where the gongs carry the last sit for you.
Silence is held from mid-morning to late afternoon. It is optional, and no one will mind if you break it.
